Purchasing or renewing your car tags will be faster and more convenient for you.

Why should you spend your lunch hour standing in line? Why should you have to go through emissions control and then travel to another location to receive your tags? It should be a one stop process. The Clerk’s office should be open at hours that fit the needs of the citizens of Davidson County. There should also be more options and services available over the internet. By focusing on technology that will give consumers more choices, the process will be more convenient.

The Clerk’s Office will become an entity to help people, not just a tax collecting bureaucracy.

As a business owner, I know the importance of paying and keeping track of your gross receipts and business taxes. As Clerk, I will help business owners in Davidson County by e-mailing reminders and notices of tax deadlines and due dates. For twelve years I fought for the rights of the elderly and disabled. I will continue to be an advocate for them and the transportation issues they face. I will be accessible to every citizen. No matter what problem you may encounter, if you call my office, you will be helped.

Education and Jobs

I will promote education and job development in Nashville. The Clerk’s Office will partner with other groups to improve our standard of living and increase the quality of our schools. We will work with all of the countywide Chambers of Commerce to promote programs that will attract new business and industry. We will also join the Mayor’s Office and the School Board in promoting “Pencil Partnerships” for area schools.
